A MAGAZINE is a biannual publication, exploring the creative sphere of a selected designer in each issue. We invite a guest curator – an international fashion designer, group or house – to develop innovative, personalised content that expresses their aesthetic and cultural values.
Each issue celebrates this designer’s ethos: their people, their passion, their stories, emotions, fascinations, spontaneity and authenticity.
A BLOG follows the past and present realities of the curators and contributors of A MAGAZINE curated by, entering daily posts with multimedia resources and text. Content is a collection of written material from the A MAGAZINE team, supplemented with submissions from the curators, their contributors, and our contributing authors.
Each month we explore a different issue, as it becomes available online simultaneously at www.AMAGAZINEcuratedby.com. By March 2010, we will have completed the first phase of the project, with the first nine issues of A all online. From this point A BLOG will begin its second phase, as a behind-the-scenes insight into the creation of A#10 and following issues – an ongoing dialogue to present our biannual publication and keep it relevant during the planning and production phases of our unique magazine.
Dan The Scout is the principal contributor to A BLOG curated by, with daily updates from the archives of the magazine, from present day encounters with collaborators, events with our designers and more.
